In December 2015, Activa Capital organised the OBO of Mecadaq Group, creating a consolidation platform in aerospace subcontracting.
Serving the Aerospace industry and specialised in components for global aircraft manufacturers, Mecadaq Group has a client base including major French contractors (including Dassault Aviation, Latécoère, Stelia Aerospace - Airbus Group) and international contractors (Boeing, Primus - PCC Group, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Tect Aerospace).
Activa Capital and Julien Dubecq wish the company to become a significant player in the market for aerospace subcontracting, particularly in precision manufacturing.
Build-ups
In August 2016, Mecadaq bought Marignier (€8m sales – Haute Savoie, France), which represents the group’s first build-up and brings the group to own an industrial site specialized in gear manufacturing as well as expanding its client portfolio.
In September 2017, Mecadaq undertook a 2nd build-up with Armoa (€18m sales – Yvelines, France). This brings a turnover to over €50m and an additional industrial site, recognized for its performance in the manufacturing of small & medium sized aluminum pieces.
In May 2018, Mecadaq Group realises its 3rd build-up acquisition in less than 24 months with Hirschler Manufacturing Inc. ($9m sales - Seattle, USA), bringing its consolidated revenue to nearly €60m.
