With its headquarters in Caen and agencies throughout France, Malherbe manages over 500 trucks with over 700 employees. The company has successfully grown both sales and profitability under its CEO, Alain Samson, and has developed an impressive list of blue chip clients. Activa Capital has invested alongside current management in order to assist Malherbe financially and commercially in its development and growth strategy.
Build-up
In January 2006, Activa Capital alongside Malherbe Management Team purchases 2 subsidiaries of TNT Group, “Logistique Ladoux“ and “Transport Nicolas”.
Exit
In March 2008, Activa Capital exits of portfolio company Groupe Malherbe generating strong returns. CEO of Groupe Malherbe, Alain Samson, with whom Activa Capital partnered in an Owner Buyout in August 2004, becomes majority shareholder alongside French private equity firm N.I. Partners.
